over the mountains and through the woods

we went up to do some work on the house for 2 days, it was actually very hot, T-shirt weather in the sun

no colors at this time of year. i want that colored leg table to replace this one. i KNOW , this one is kinda cool too, but what you can't see is the ghetto glue job done on the corner where it's broken off twice and even though we have ivy growing up the legs which would be TOTALLY cool if it completely covered the legs, the table will be broken anyway when they make the grass terrace, it's too small AND ivy on table legs invites spiders/critters !

I won't shed a tear over this table cuz that colored leg one will  be like a prism when the sun shines through!

the birch bark lamp at night powered with solar energy mega cool spotlights from Ikea. The house has no electricity,  so we have lots of solar powered lights. Eventually there will be big solar panels to make some serious energy but for now ...it's romantic ;)

I looked everywhere for some mountain-y fabric to do some simple touches until I get the better ones made.  This was all I could find for now.  It's not bad, it's just not the best. I didn't like that paisley effect but I it's growing on me.

yes, the chairs and table will be replaced one day, it's what we had already.

had these curtains custom made, they're from my guy's mother's house from many years ago. Just real simple cotton. I consider everything temporary because we have much better plans for this place.   Always keeping minimal and functional.  Don't get me started on those hideous tiles and even more hideous adhesives that WILL be coming down asap!

finally started project.  this orange looks crazy flourescent but it does seem to work inside the house.  still need the face

don't look at the mess

have u ever combed the woods??  It's nuts I know but needs to be done since we want some grass to grow where the sun shines.  Plus the workers are supposed to come this year to finally do that grass terrace so we're trying to get the rest ready. We put a lot of grass seeds out which will probably be trampled on by the workers. Seriously hard work to rake this whole area and we only did half.  It's never ending with all the leaves, twigs, pinecones.
