festive little candle holder made from a jelly jar and dicarded paper. I made these originally for a "full moon party" that we had at our park. I wanted to put safe, wind-proof candles all around.
I found this pair of nighstands thrown away just under my house and we didn't have any so they've come in real handy. I loved the pattern in the wood so I didn't want to just paint over them but they looked pretty dirty even after a good clean and light sanding.
So I went for the shiny radica wood look you see in Rolls Royces.
The grain REEEEEALLY came out with a hi-gloss finish. My guy wanted me to change the handles but I like them. And I kept off the back board thingy. I prefer the cleaner line like this. Cost about $10 to refinish. They're not my dream bedside tables but they're great temps. |
